„The construction of „Neue Berliner Straße" is the biggest investment project of Studio Babelsberg for years. The well-largest and most modern exterior set in Europe cost around 16 million euro (incl. land purchase). With a big summer party, the opening of the set road was celebrated on 28th May. The set guarantees attractive shooting options under newest filmtechnological conditions. Thus, Studio Babelsberg increases the attractiveness of the capital region as a film production location.
